This page provides access points to various documents related to the history of the Civil War (1861-1865) and Reconstruction Era (1865-1877). There is a flood of documentation already available online and this only provides entry points to a selection of that material. You could also visit Burns Library here at BC to go through material in person.

For a short discussion of the war, see our Oxford Reference Collections
