Boston College School of Social Work under the leadership of Associate Professor Susan Tohn and through the support of a University TAM grant has produced a Clinical Therapy Training Video Series.
This innovative resource presents a clinical training video series demonstrating six different models of individual adult and adolescent therapy, and group therapy with adolescents. Viewers are encouraged to recognize and understand the different pathways that each model takes in helping clients solve problems.
Each session focuses on individual therapy with a client actor and includes an accompanying teaching guide. The video series encourages viewers to experience and understand the distinct differences among these evidence-based therapy models of treatment. Each therapy model video is presented in two parts: an initial session and a later session to allow the viewers to see and hear the treatment progression. The adventure based adolescent group therapy videos demonstrate an innovative and effective type of group therapy never before demonstrated in video format.
BCSSW faculty members Kerry Mitchell, Robin Warsh, Susan Tohn, Carolyn Romano, Steve Gaddis, and Molly Magill are featured as clinicians in the different video segments.
