Latin American History in Memoirs: eResources

This is a guide to getting started in research in Latin American history at Boston College.

Researching History through Memoir

Researching history through memoir can be an excellent way to tie together experience, context, and memory. On this page, you'll find access points for several biographical (memoirs, diaries, travel accounts, and more) accounts of people recounting their experiences in Latin America between 1500 and the mid-1900s. These are only a sampling of possible texts. Consider doing your own searching in HathiTrust or other digital collections for more.
