Sometimes, an assignment will prompt you to look for the perspective of someone reporting first-hand knowledge, such as of a historic event. In that case, you might need other kinds of sources like diaries, letters, office memos, or other first-hand accounts. Some of these are available in digital collections through Burns Library--which also has many physical collections--or in digital collections.
A database of more than 1.3 million digital images. It covers many time periods and cultures and represent architecture, painting, sculpture, photography, decorative arts, etc. Users are required to create a personal account to access this database off campus.
