Local Libraries

Boston Library Consortium (BLC)

Members of the Boston College community have access to the BLC, an association of 17 academic and research libraries in New England. Borrowing and onsite use policies vary. Ask at a circulation desk for the BLC borrower card and for more information about visiting or borrowing from a BLC library. BC community members can also borrow from Brandeis, Boston University, and Northeastern University with an Eagle ID.

Boston Public Library (BPL)

28 locations including the Central Library, located in Copley Square, Boston. Any Boston resident (including all BC students) can sign up for a BPL library card. Any Massachusetts resident can sign up for a BPL e-card to use many of their online databases.

Minuteman Libraries

A consortium of over 40 public and academic libraries in the greater Boston area, including Newton Free Library.
