    Content is organized by the type of information needed (searching by subject, searching for properties, searching for synthesis or reactions, etc.) and, within that, the best tools for the task.

    Useful for coverage of older reference titles that may not be mentioned in more recent guides to the literature.

    An excellent place to start, with its up-to-date and thorough treatment of the broad spectrum of chemical information needs, from pure research through techniques for staying current, patents, and chemical marketing sources.
  • Searching the Chemical Literature (Yale University Science Libraries)  
      
    Extremely useful for its coverage of both print and quality web resources. Information in provided in a manner consistent with the best practices in literature searching. Extensive evaluative information. Call numbers are for the Yale Science Library.
