Reserve a Study Room

Located on the lower ground floor of McGuinn Hall, the Social Work Library supports the teaching and research needs of the Boston College School of Social Work (BCSSW)

Room Reservation Policy

Social Work Library study rooms may only be reserved by the School of Social Work students, faculty and staff. Others may use the rooms when not reserved.

To reserve a study room as a BCSSW community member, go to the Social Work Central course in Canvas. You will find the link to our reservation system in the Library section as Reserve a Study Room link.

  • Reservations limited to Boston College School of Social Work students, faculty, & staff. Others may use the rooms when not occupied but must vacate the rooms for users with valid reservations.
  • Reservations can be made no more than 2 weeks in advance, and specific time slots cannot be booked for the duration of the semester. 
  • Maximum 4 hour reservation per group in 30 minute increments.
  • Check in at the circulation desk at the beginning of your reservation.
  • Groups that have not arrived within 15 minutes of their scheduled time will forfeit their reservation and the room will become available on a first come, first serve basis for the remainder of the reservation period.
  • Study Rooms are not soundproof.
