Identifying your research topic in health care ethics

If you are uncertain of your research topic, you may want to consider the following potential sources of inspiration.  You will note that many of the subpages to this guide (listed in the left margin) are meant to help you locate these types of sources. 

  • Encyclopedia or handbook articles (reference resources) that provide an overview of a topic, along with suggestions for further reading
  • Academic journals that cover issues related to health care ethics (and related Catholic teaching)
  • Policy documents/grey literature on public health issues
  • Blogs and podcasts from reputable colleges, universities, medical schools, and health care associations.
  • News related to health care in the region about which you are concerned
