Educational Technology at the ERC

Note: The Califone CM2W Wifi Microscope transmits a live image using WiFi to up to three iOS or Android devices at one time.

GETTING STARTED

1. Install the free Wi-viewer app on device.
   • Note: The Wi-viewer app is downloaded onto all of the ERC iPads.
2. Slide off the battery cover and insert AA batteries.
3. Slide the power switch to the ON position. The green LED will turn on. If the red LED is flashing, replace the batteries.
4. Connect the device to the WiFi network. Please see the section on iOS/Android app operation listed below.

ISO App Operations:

1. Go to the Settings icon and choose WiFi set up.
2. Select WiFi and turn it on.
3. Select Wi-viewer.
4. Key in the Wi-viewer password "12345678" and the connection will be established.

Android App Operations:

1. Go to the Settings icon and choose WiFi set up.
2. Select Wi-viewer, and turn it on.
3. Key in the Wi-viewer password "12345678" and the connection will be established.

How to Use

1. Open the Wifi-viewer app.
2. Place the wifi microscope on or above the object to be viewed.
3. Begin with the focus dial all the way to the right and turn slowly to the left until the object comes into focus. A clear focused image can be obtained by adjusting the focus knob as well as changing the distance between the object and the wifi microscope.
4. Touch the Snapshot button to take a picture. Images can be found in the iPad/iPhone "Photos" library.
5. Touch the Record Button to record real time video and to stop recording. Videos can be found in the iPad/iPhone "Photos" library.
