Getting Started

This course studies historical continuity and changes of dietary traditions and culinary practices in China. We will examine how certain foods gave possibilities to and conditioned China's cultural formation and, in return, how food and ways of eating are

Course Abstract

This page is designed to provide access points for different kinds of information including: scholarship (e.g., reference, books, and articles); commodities/food stuffs; as well as government data and industry reports. Keep in mind that many of the best histories of food draw on multiple disciplines, including the arts, social sciences, and sciences (e.g., biology) not to mention business and more.
