Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
The IPCC is the most-widely recognized international body involved in the climate change discussion. In 2007 the Panel published a series of major assessment reports, culminating in the fourth, "Climate Change 2007: Synthesis Report” (November 2007). More recent reports also found here.

Working with its 100 - 200 affiliated researchers, the IPCC evaluates scientific reports and publishes syntheses for policy-makers. The IPCC was established by the World Meteorological Organization and the UN Environment Programme in 1988. The 2007 reports follow earlier reports in 1990, 1995 and 2001.
United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change
One of three treaties adopted at the 1992 "Rio" Earth Summit. This convention was later strengthened by the 1997 Kyoto Protocol.
Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change
Initially framed in 1997, it called for individual, legally-binding targets to limit or reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Protracted negotiations delayed ratification; entered into force Feb. 2005. The U.S. has not signed.

A report of the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources, working under the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), a U.S. Cabinet-level Council responsible for coordinating science and technology policy.

A very rich, expansive resource from the Climate Change Assessment effort. The results and report here are from the third National Climate Assessment (May 2014), providing access to general information, as well as by geographic region and sector.

Risky Business -- Climate Change as an Economic Issue

Risky Business, a 2014 report from the Risky Business Project, focuses on the economic challenges posed by climate change, and the peril of not addressing the issue now. The report is particularly ground-breaking for it's lead authors/chairs: Michael Bloomberg, former Mayor of the City of New York, Henry Paulson, former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury and Tom Steyer, Retired Founder of Farallon Capital Management, LLC.
