Resources at Boston College

Look for resources at Boston College by searching Holmes, the BC Libraries online discovery tool.

GlasshouseYou may need to approach the subject from several directions:

for example, look up "Public architecture -- New England" or  "Architecture -- Massachusetts -- Boston"

or "Boston (Mass.) -- Buildings, structures, etc."

or even "Romanesque revival (Architecture) " to get the broadest possible view of the material.

Other subject headings to consider "Arts and society " or "Wooden-frame houses" or individual architects "Richardson, H. H. (Henry Hobson), 1838-1886." or buildings "Trinity Church (Boston, Mass.)"

Searching these terms as keywords will not, only bring up books, but will lead you to essays or chapters within books.

This may seem obvious, but do not forget to use the bibliographies found in your text books and the books on reserve for your course.
