This is a general guide on Bloomberg basic features and functions.

Create your own account

Use the following steps to set up your Bloomberg account.  

  1. Sign on to the computer with your BC username/password.
  2. Click on the Bloomberg icon.
  3. Press the green Enter (GO) key.
  4. Click the “Create New Login” link near the bottom of the page.
  5. Follow the instructions to create your own login.
  6. Type BMC.

Bloomberg Market Concepts - student training

Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) is an 8-hour, self-paced, e-learning video course consisting of four modules (Economic Indicators, Currencies, Fixed Income and Equities) and over 70 Bloomberg Terminal functions. After completing all four modules, students receive a certificate of completion.

To access Bloomberg Market Concepts logon to the Bloomberg terminal in O'Neill Library with your Bloomberg user ID & password and type BMC.

NOTE: When registering, if asked if taking this as part of a group, click on NO.
