Materials requested are generally retrieved within 24 hours. Electronic items are delivered via Odyssey, Article Exchange and Rapid. Book loans are delivered via UPS and USPS. Massachusetts Library System members will receive books through the Massachusetts Library Courier.

Each borrowing library is responsible for materials from the time they are shipped until they have been returned and received by Boston College. Libraries are billed for overdue items, 90 days after the due date. Borrowing libraries are responsible for damage, loss and replacement fees. Current charges are $100 per item.

We supply loans and copies from O’Neill Library, Bapst Library, Social Work Library, and the Theology and Ministry Library to the academic community. Items held at Boston College’s Law Library (BXL) may be requested directly from that library.
