Policies

Users may borrow up to 10 items at a time.

  • Each item may be checked out for a maximum of 14 days
  • Items may be renewed up to 1 time for an additional 14 days
  • Items may be renewed by phone, email, or in person

The following items are not available for loan through the Educator Partnership Program:

  • Hourly and daily technology loans
  • ERC Psychological and Educational Test Collection
  • Items on reserve

Late, lost, and damaged items are subject to fees. Unpaid fees may result in loss of borrowing privileges. Library patrons are responsible for ensuring that the materials borrowed from BC Libraries are returned in the same condition in which they were borrowed.

  • A $100 fee (includes a replacement and processing fee) is charged for items declared lost. Items that have been declared lost can no longer be renewed and must be returned to the library.
  • “Lost” items that are returned may result in a waived fee if the library has not already purchased a replacement.
  • Fees that are owed are expected to be paid when items are returned. Borrowing privileges at all BC Libraries will be blocked until fees are paid in full and the account is in good standing.

Accounts will expire on 7/1. To renew your account, visit the ERC to present your identification and complete a new application form.
