On April 16th, 2019, The Theology and Ministry Library (TML) hosted its second annual TML Speaks event, titled Data in Ministry: Research Methods and Resources to Understand Changes in our Church. During this session, School of Theology and Ministry faculty, Hosffman Ospino and Theresa O’Keefe, discussed how they use data in their work in practical theology, and Barbara Mento and Allison Xu went over the services, resources, and visualization tools that the Boston College Libraries and other data support partners offer to help students and faculty with both qualitative and quantitative research projects. Links to the audio recording and to Barbara Mento's and Allison Xu's slides appear below. Please see the page "Event audio recording and transcript" for a complete transcript of the event and the slides for Barbara and Allison's presentations.
These guides were authored by librarians at the O'Neill and Social Work libraries on data-related services and resources. Also check out the site for Boston College Libraries' Digital Scholarship team to learn about related workshops.
