Bapst Library Study Spaces

The Bapst Library has three floors and serves as a quiet study library for the Boston College community.

Gargan Hall

Gargan Hall Reading RoomGargan Hall is located on the fourth floor, one level above the Information Desk and the Kresge Reading Room. It is a large, quiet study area with oak tables and beautiful stained glass windows to enjoy. Books with call numbers beginning with AM, NX, and TR are shelved here.

Kresge Reading Room

Bapst Kresge Reading Room​The Kresge Reading Room is on the third floor, located behind the Bapst Information Desk. It is a quiet study area with individual study spaces. The computers, printers, and scanners are also located here. The Mezzanine is directly above the Kresge Reading Room and is also a quiet study area with individual study carrels. Our Reference books and Periodicals (both of which are In-Library Use only) and Bapst's Course Reserves books can be found on this floor.

The Art Stacks

Bapst Art StacksThe Art Stacks are located on the second floor, one level below the Information Desk and the Kresge Reading Room. There are large oak tables as well as individual study spaces. Books with call numbers beginning with N, NA, NB, NC, ND, NE, NK, as well as Oversize books and Folios are shelved here. This floor is a collaboration space for quiet group work.
