This collection serves the curricular and research needs of the students and faculty in the Romance Languages and Literatures Department.
This collection reflects and supports the research and teaching interests of the members of the department: the study and teaching of French, Italian, and Spanish; the study and teaching of literature in French, Italian, and Spanish; and related literary history, theory and criticism as well as the promotion of awareness and appreciation of the cultures related to these languages in the Americas, Western Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia.
Purchasing activity is focused chiefly on works published by university presses as well as reputable scholarly commercial publishers in the United States, Europe, Canada and Latin America.
