This collection serves the curricular and research needs of the students and faculty in the Latin American Studies Department.
The Latin American Studies Collection supports a wide range of research and teaching interests at Boston College. The collection focuses on history, philosophy, religion, literature, politics, sociology, economics and international relations of the countries of Latin America.
Research level support is maintained largely through faculty requests, which are fulfilled whenever possible.
Purchasing activity is focused on works published by university presses and reputable scholarly commercial publishers, chiefly in the United States, Europe and Latin America. Resource Acquisition and Management staff make every effort to identify sources to fulfill requests for hard-to-obtain materials.
