Access Gallup Analytics

Gallup Analytics is a portal for providing trends in public opinion drawn from Gallup surveys, which include: 

  • Gallup US Daily Tracking Poll tracking economic, wellbeing, and political data collected daily since 2008 on state and MSA (Metropolitan Statistical Area) level;
  • Gallup World Poll covering economic, social, and well-being data collected since 2005 in 160+ countries since 2005;
  • Gallup Poll Social Series (GPSS) providing a set of public opinion surveys designed to monitor U.S. adults' views on numerous social, economic, and political topics, such as mood of the nation, world affairs, values and beliefs, consumption habits, crime, lifestyle and etc. from 2001.

Part of the respondent-level survey data can be located in Roper iPoll. Please contact us if you have questions.

Important Information before You Start

Gallup Analytics provides trends statistics aggregated from several major Gallup surveys. Gallup microdata is not accessible through Gallup Analytics, which can be partially retrieved through Roper iPoll.

Gallup Analytics provides trends in question responses in a few ways:

World Poll 2005-2020

  • the on-the-ground reality of people in more than 160 countries and regions through nationally representative, consistent sampling via face-to-face and telephone polling, annually since 2005
  • World Poll items
  • World Poll geographies: regions, countries
  • Global Datasets for Public Use (microdata access provided by Gallup Poll clients)

Gallup US Daily Tracking Poll 2008-2020

Gallup Poll Social Series (GPSS) 2001-2020

  • the Gallup Poll Social Series (GPSS) is a set of public opinion surveys designed to monitor U.S. adults' views on numerous social, economic, and political topics. The topics are arranged thematically across 12 surveys. More about how does GPSS work.
  • GPSS trends in Trends A-Z.
  • Trends geographies: U.S.
  • combine using Roper iPoll to locate respondent-level data (partially)

Gallup Brain 1935-2020 (Where is Gallup Brain?)

  • reports responses to individual questions asked in Gallup public opinion polls from 1935 to the present
  • browse surveys by decades, or by topic, locate same question through all years by "Locate Questions" function.
  • combine using Roper iPoll to locate respondent-level data (partially)
