This guide will help you find and enjoy films in various formats

Find DVDs and Streaming Films in Library Catalog

Films in various formats, including Streaming Video, can be found in the Library Catalog. Please note that not all Streaming Videos are listed in the catalog, some are available only from the Streaming Collections.

DVDs in O'Neill Library

  • The audiovisual collection can be found on the 3rd floor of O'Neill Library as well as a collection of popular DVDs in the 3rd floor Lobby.
  • DVDs for classes can be found at the Circulation desk.
  • External DVD drives can be checked out at the Circulation desk.

To find films in the Library Catalog

  • Choose Advanced Search.
  • Use the pull-down menus to search Anywhere in record, or in Title or Author (Director, Actor, Musician, Dancer).
  • Choose the Material Type e.g. Films & Video, Musical Recordings, Spoken Recordings

Requesting Films

Faculty can request films for their courses and/or their research by submitting a Library Reserves request form. Streaming video licenses generally expire in 1 year.  Remember to request renewal of licenses for any film you plan to continue using.
