ArcGIS Software/Installation information

ArcGIS is a desktop geographic information system (GIS) produced by the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI). With ArcGIS you can work with maps, databases, charts and tables all within this single application. ArcGIS' tools offers users the ability to design detailed maps that display the results of data analysis. (adapted from www.esri.com).

Available on GIS Workstations in the O'Neill Library and on workstations in several department labs and Gasson 9.

GIS in the Social Work Library

The GSSW Computer Lab (housed in the Social Work Library) has 16 computers with ArcGIS software for student use. Four additional desktop computers and two Dell Laptops also have ArcGIS. Please ask a social work library staff member for assistance with finding the software.
