What is RefWorks?

RefWorks enables you to

  • import references from databases,
  • organize your references into folders,
  • insert references in a variety of formats (e.g., APA or MLA) into the body of your research paper, and
  • generate formatted references pages.

RefWorks is free to the Boston College community and available from any computer with internet access. For additional assistance with RefWorks, please contact a librarian or call 617-552-4472.

Setting up an Account/Accessing RefWorks

RefWorks is available to Boston College students, faculty, and staff. To establish an account go to the RefWorks: Get Started Guide

Questions:

How do I login to RefWorks when I'm on campus?

Go to the RefWorks login page and log in.

How can I access RefWorks from off campus?

Just login from any location.

Is there a RefWorks Mobile site?

Yes!  Connect to RefWorks Mobile

  • Once you have completed the registration, you can login with your username and password.
  • When you are accessing RefWorks from an off-campus location you will need the BC group code (use your BC username and login to get group code).
