About This Guide

Government Documents, documents received from the Federal Depository Library Program, are organized using the SuDoc Classification System. O'Neill Library receives approximately 60% of Depository items in both paper and microfiche formats. Quest will indicate whether the item is on the internet or in paper, CD ROM or microfiche format. Government Documents are located on the 1st floor of the O'Neill Library.

The SuDoc classification system is organized by the agency that issues a publication. This guide gives an overview of the classification system, describes how to read a SuDoc number and locate it on the shelves or on microfiche. If you need assistance locating a government document, please contact Leslie Homzie (617-552-1907; homzie@bc.edu).
