Social Work: Finding Tests and Measures

:

Getting Started

This guide is designed to assist you with steps for finding tests, measures, scales, or questionnaires for your research.

Getting Started

START EARLY! The right test, measure, or instrument can take several steps to find. Also, not all tests are freely available. Make sure that the test that you have identified for your assignment is available to you before you write your paper.

Consider what you want to measure to generate potential search terms and then use the resources here to explore for an instrument. For example, say you have a client who has depression and lacks a sense of hope. You might want to help your client regain a sense of hope and to measure their progress you would look for instruments about 'hope.'
