Quick Reference Guide

How to Record Messages

  1. Insert one AAA battery in the back of the digital voice recorder.
  2. Turn on the power by sliding the Power button on the left side of the recorder.
  3. Select Recorder to select a folder to save the recordings.
  4. To select a folder to save the recording, move up or down and press OK to select a folder.
  5. To begin recording, press the red Rec button.
  6. To stop recording, press the Stop button.

How to Play Messages

  1. Select the folder where the recording was saved by moving up or down and press OK to select the correct folder.
  2. To select the correct recording in the folder, move up or down to find the recordings saved in the folder.
  3. To play a recording, highlight the recording and press OK.

How to Upload and Convert Recordings Using iTunes

  1. Eject the USB Port by sliding down the USB Connector Lever and plug into a computer.
  2. Open iTunes on the computer.
  3. In iTunes, select File > Add File to Library.
  4. In the new window, find the WS_801 external USB drive.
  5. Select the RECORDER folder.
  6. Find the correct folder that your recording was saved in and select that folder.
  7. Find the correct recording and select Open.
  8. If iTunes ask to convert the file from a WMA file to an AAC file, select Convert.
  9. Once the recording has been uploaded into iTunes, it will appear in your Music folder. You may save, email, or upload the recording to the desired location.
