Submitting Course Reserves
To place an ERC item on reserve, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the course syllabus or title(s) of the item(s) and the course code and section number of the course. Or, please fill out the ERC Reserves Form and bring the form and the item(s) to the ERC Circulation Desk.
Syllabi or reserve requests should be submitted as soon as possible to ensure reserves are ready for the first week of classes. Some items may need to be ordered, scanned, recalled, or repaired, which can cause a delay between the time a syllabus is received and the time the material is available for student use.
The ERC Course Reserves service allows instructors to make required or supplemental course reserve materials available to students. Items placed on ERC Course Reserves may be viewed in the library for 2 hours.
Reserve materials can include:
- ERC or personal books
- Course packets
- Films and videos
- Kits or realia
- Technology items (iPad, ELMO, iClicker, etc.)

Removal of Course Reserves Material
Items may be placed on reserve for Fall, Spring, or Summer sessions. Unless otherwise requested by a course instructor, ERC staff will remove materials from course reserve at the end of each semester.
To remove an item on reserve during the semester, please email email@example.com with the title(s) of the item(s).

Course Reserves for Visually Impaired Students
Students should contact the Assistant Dean for Students with Disabilities to obtain textbooks or course readings in a format that is accessible to them. A full list of disability services is available from the Disabilities Services Office.
