This guide will introduce you to the basics of APA Style, and will point you to additional tools that will help you master this style.

Basic Rules

These are some basic rules for your references page:

  • References is centered and bolded at the top of the page
  • Arrange references in alphabetical order by the author's last name.
  • Double space between and within references.
  • Use initials for the first and middle names of authors.
  • Have a hanging indent at the second line of the reference.
