How do we fix a cripplingly divided nation?
I'm not so sure the nation needs to be fixed. Its history includes endless debates, divisiveness and even duals- but we learn and get better. Freedom of thought and expression are its greatest strengths. Dubious ideas get debated, while good ideas get supported. Put another way, as long as the nation is divided it's avoiding a lot of dubious ideas.
