Browsing Current Issues of the Wall Street Journal in Factiva

You can browse and search today's Wall Street Journal in Factiva, as well as the prior 2 weeks, in the Newsstand which is located on the first screen that opens. Click on the titles to read the articles or use the drop-down menu to view other sections of the paper. To search prior years see the box below. 

Searching Older Issues of the Wall Street Journal in Factiva

1. To search Factiva for issues of the Wall Street journal back to 1979 you  need to click on Search, then Search Builder.

 

 2. There are two ways to limit your results to the Wall Street Journal

Use the example below with the command sn= to tell Factiva to search the "source name" and then enter a term or phrase in the free text search box.  Use "and" in between words and phrases. Next select the appropriate date options from the drop down menu. The default is to the last 3 months.

Or use the instructions in #3 below.

 

3. Select Wall Street Journal from  "Source".  Click on "All Publications" and click on "Remove" so that you are only searching the Wall Street Journal.
