Collection building emphasis is placed on contemporary literature in Russian as well as literature in translation from Russian, South Slavic Languages, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Turkish, Hebrew and other Easten languages. Linguistics collection development is concerned mainly with the Indo-European languages with emphasis on general and historical linguistics, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, semantics, syntactic theory, teaching English as a foreign language.
