Who Has Cited a Publication?

There are a number of resources that provide the ability  to search cited references. The resources in the adjacent box are some that are paritcularly useful for the business and management subject area.

Citation Analysis Databases Good for Business & Management

  • Web of Science  Icon
    Consists of three databases: Social Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index and Humanities Citation Index. The majority of cited references will occur in the Social Science Citation Index, but check all three.
  • Business Source Complete  Icon
    Shows how many times a scholarly publication has been cited specifically within Business Source Complete.
  • Google Scholar
    After you conduct a search, the result of books or articles show the number of times they have been cited. If you click on the "number" you go to the list of the sources that have cited the book or the article in question.
  • Academic One File  Icon
    Shows how many times a scholarly publication has been cited specifically within Academic One File.
  • Publish or Perish (download for free)
    Publish or Perish is a software program that retrieves and analyzes academic citations. It uses Google Scholar to obtain raw citations, then analyzes them. Please see the Caveat Emptor on using it.
